Evolution of Cinema Surround Sound - Trailer
Coming soon to Cinema Synesthesia, a complete 3D animated history of the development of multi-channel sound in the cinema. What is the status of the project, it has been nearly 10 months since the trailer was put up, when is the release of the movie itself ?

DeleteWe've got the project on the back burner currently. The trailer was a bit of a wake up call as to exactly how much work it's going to be. The rendering of the 3D graphics alone took a high end workstation over 4 straight days to do.
ReplyDeleteThere is also the considerable work of collating of all the material. And there are the costs associated with all of the films needed.
The final product will not be monetizable, due to the limitations of Fair Use Copyright. Therefore we're exploring the options of Patreon or some other form of donation system to try and make the project sustainable.
is this project still alive? thanx
ReplyDeleteHopefully! As stated in the comment above, it's been put on a backburner because of the huge amount of work that it will take to complete it. Just producing the trailer was a bit of a wake up call.
